Adopt-A-Family Program

Who We Are
This was started in 2002 as a personal project of Mike Burright. In 2004, 55 families were helped and the Family Assistance Foundation was formed. Adopt A Family had grown into an independent community supporting non-profit organization. These volunteers are committed to giving up their time and money to help raise funds or gifts needed to make this Christmas special.

The core group of volunteers have committed to spending the time necessary to collect the gifts that are donated, shopping for the gifts that we need to buy in order to fill the needs of the individual families, wrapping all those gifts, and finally delivering those gifts just before Christmas. Many of these deliveries will be done by Santa and his elves personally.

All of the money that is donated will be handled by The Family Assistance Foundation so that we are able to account for every dollar. The Family Assistance Foundation is a new corporation formed to run the Adopt A Family program during this time of year, and to develop other programs through the year that are designed to assist families in becoming fully independent and financially successful.

Mission Statement
We will give back to our community and provide enough gifts, clothes, and food to create a positive, memorable holiday experience for 100 families who would otherwise lack the financial resources to provide a holiday for their children and to make a positive difference in the lives of these children.

Cash Donations:
If you wish to give a cash donation please make checks payable to: Family Assistance Foundation. You can deposit your check at any Key Bank location. If you are depositing out of the state of Oregon make sure you tell the bank it is an Oregon account.
