Adopt A Family Program and Nomination Guidelines

What we are looking for:
The Family Assistance Foundation works with a number of public and private social agencies, schools and organizations that work with families who are just getting by. All nominations must come from an acceptable agency.

Our main goal is to provide a Christmas for children who would otherwise not have one. We want to offer relief from the financial strain that the holidays can cause. We would like to provide gifts and a holiday meal for low-income families in hopes that it may be the relief they need to get a little bit ahead and maybe back on their feet.

If you know of a family that meets these criteria please contact Linda Trigg via email with “Adopt A Family” in the subject line at: faf@cascadeaccess.com or you can use our online nomination form below.

Once Nominated:
A committee from the Family Assistance Foundation will review all nominations. We may need to contact some of the families to ask further questions so make sure you fill in all of the contact information for the family you are nominating. We will then call and let them know if they have been chosen to be a part of our Adopt A Family program.

What to expect as an “Adopted Family”
We will ask for the family to fill out a wish list for us, which will need to include the children’s first names, ages, shoes and clothing sizes. We need to know of a few toys the children would like and household objects the family needs. We would also like to provide each child with any needed clothes and a few toys that they want. We will give each family a gift certificate before Christmas so the parent(s)/guardian(s) can purchase food for a holiday meal and other needs.

Due to the logistics, Santa will only be delivering gifts on a limited basis this year. We will do the best we can to accommodate the families that request Santa for delivery. For the families that do not ask for Santa or are unable to have Santa deliver, we ask that these families come to a specified location and pick up their wrapped gifts. If you are a family without transportation we will do our best to find a way to deliver the gifts to you.
